Joe Carr co-founded ShipJunction in 2010 to solve the part of fulfillment that broke the most: shipping. After years spent building WMS tools, backend infrastructure, and enterprise applications at companies like Wine.com, Lucent, and IBM Tealeaf, he saw firsthand how manual shipping steps and fragmented workflows slowed even the best-run warehouses.
He built ShipJunction to close that gap—starting with code and scaling into a system that now supports sub-second label generation and daily volumes of 50,000+ shipments per customer site. The platform gives operators and IT teams control over batching, rate shopping, cartonization, multi-warehouse routing, and more—all from one unified interface. It’s also a Built-for NetSuite Hybrid App, built to run natively inside ERP-led environments without relying on connectors or external sync tools.
Joe still writes production code and leads product development. He works closely with shipping managers, warehouse teams, and IT leaders to ensure the platform evolves with real operational needs—not guesswork. From day one, ShipJunction has been shaped by what’s actually happening on the floor.
“The Shipjunction team is amazing. Joe and his crew were able to take a disruptive multiplex label design and integrate our requirements into their systems and give us an entire pick/pack/ship platform to deliver our products to our customers with complete visibility and ease of use.”
